We are looking for a Chiropractic Associate who is dedicated to providing excellent treatment to our patients. The chiropractic associate needs to be capable of multi-tasking in a professional office environment. Our ideal candidate is outgoing, self-motivated, and willing to pick up the slack, when necessary.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide evidence-informed, detail-orientated, and compassionate care for all the patients according to MN Spine and Sport policy and the established standard of care.
Take accurate and record patients' medical histories, including requesting records from the patient’s other providers.
Examine patients, with an emphasis on neuromusculoskeletal conditions, according to the standard of care.
Re-examine patients, according to the standard of care.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
Provide treatment, both active and passive to all patients seen.
Refer patient to other providers, as appropriate and according to the standard of care.
Refer patients for appropriate diagnostic tests (X-ray, MRI, EMG), according to the standard of care.
Properly maintain, document all patient notes, including proper icd-10 and CPT coding in accordance with established guidelines and practice standards.
Send referral letters and update patient’s PCP regarding current treatment, via Chiroup and other established sources.
Make a concerted effort to consistently acquire new patients with the help of the practice.
The associate will be responsible for acquiring new patients, independent of the current patients.
With the assistance of the clinic director, develop and implement a marketing plan to acquire new patients and reactivate previous patients.
Attend and participate in the clinic’s marketing events.
Assist with billing and collections, including, but not limited to, authorization, proper procedure and diagnosis coding, appeal letters, and narratives.
Develop content, blogs, videos for social media and the website, at least 1 blog and 2 videos per month, as well as weekly content.
Must be in compliance with all state and national regulations, requirements, and recommendations, including COVID protocols.
Assist with producing marketing materials, pamphlets, brochures, etc.
Attend and contribute to all daily, weekly, quarterly, and yearly scheduled staff meetings.
Maintain clean treatment rooms and office space.
Respond to patient questions and concerns in a timely manner, via email, text, etc.
Maintain chiropractic and/or other licenses/certifications.
Assist in managing inventory and order new office supplies when required.
Occasionally take payments, including cash, check and credit card.
Occasionally answer the phone.
Perform at a level consistent equal to or above practice standards.
Other duties, as needed.
Qualifications
4-year bachelor’s degree from accredited college
Doctor of Chiropractic degree
Passing scores on NBCE part I, II, III, IV and PT. Acupuncture preferred.
Previous healthcare, office and/or customer service experience preferred.
Valid MN chiropractic license, acupuncture registration preferred.
Must have an enthusiastic personality when interacting with patients and be willing to learn.
Must be flexible and adapt quickly to respond to staff, patient, and clinic director’s requests.
Must have computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and others as determined by the clinic director.
Must have a knowledge of social media and use it frequently.
Must have a knowledge of Exercise/Rehab.
Must have knowledge of chiropractic techniques, such as diversified, flexion-distraction, drop and extremity manipulation
Must have a knowledge of soft tissue manipulation, IASTM, and cupping.
Additional certifications in sports and rehab recommended, but not required.
Must have working knowledge of insurance reimbursement, coding and billing procedures.
Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
Strong ability to follow guidelines in administering treatment to patients following evidence-informed standards.
Ability to work harmoniously with a team, and to maintain cordial relationship with other members of staff and patients in achieving organizational goals.
Excellent communication skills to confidently interact with patients and providers by either written or spoken means.
Ability to engage in multiple tasks at a time.
Strong ability to work under pressure in a high paced environment.
Must be able to lead the clinic in the absence of the clinic director.
