Albuquerque, NM: seeking Associate with a chill personality, and an intense love of learning

We are a low-volume, high-quality of care practice in Albuquerque, NM.  Cash practice, with a few MVA cases.

Our focus is on working with the patient to help them learn the tools to get them out of pain and moving onward.  Patient education and empowerment are a huge part of our practice.  We are constantly studying and learning in order to have a deep toolbox that can help even the most stubborn cases.

If you like spending time with patients and have a deep curiosity about the human body, then this is the place for you!

Current doc has a 2-3 week waitlist, and would like to bring someone on board that can help with overflow.  And, complement the practice with their own particular interests and skills.

We run fitness classes and educational workshops.  We have built a community of like-minded practitioners that we refer to: visceral manipulation, neural manipulation, lymphatics, etc.

Ideal Candidate would be at least vaguely familiar with (or willing to learn):

DNS
Low and no-force adjusting options
Fascial chains / NeuroKineticTherapy / compensation tracing
Understanding why we might treat away from the site of pain
Kettlebells
ART / SFMA / TPI
Graston / FAKTR
CFSC

Biopsychosocial models of pain

Some of our heroes: Gray Cook, Craig Liebenson, the Prague School of Rehabilitation, Perry Nickleston, Kathy Dooley, Phillip Snell, Mike Boyle, Thomas Myers, etc.

Added bonus: social media skills, video and editing skills

Personality:
Chill and open personality
Comfortable working with older folks
Comfortable working with the LGBTQI+ community
Love of learning
Team player with pandemic protocols

Our patients are an interesting mix of engineers and hippies!  We tend to attract intelligent folks that really want a deeper understanding of what is going on with their bodies as a whole.  We treat mostly a middle aged and older population, and have been honored to be a trusted provider to the local LGBTQI+ community.

Compensation:

You would be the first associate in the practice. We will figure out a fair compensation, most likely base pay plus percentage. You’re not going to be rich, but you won’t starve either. I’m a strong believer in win/win for everyone. Work hours are moderate and rewarding. Possibility of ownership later on.

Albuquerque:

This is a great town!  Big enough to have great food options, but small enough that you can be in the desert or mountains within half an hour. Nice mix of cultures, and friendly folks.  Lots of open space for trail running, skiing, biking, mountain biking, hot springs, hiking, road tripping.  Hot air ballooning too!
